Infinite Summer

I've decided to join the Infinite Summer in reading David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest.

It tickles me that Amazon lists this book with a suggestion to buy another title: "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again: Essays and Arguments", which at first looks like it's a review or criticism of reading the gargantuan Infinite Jest, a jibe at the countless people dedicating their precious summer hours to reading such a moster, until one notices that it's yet another book by Wallace--then one, having read Wallace before, may realize that it still could be a criticism of Infinite Jest because Wallace is just that kind of self-referential, metaphorical-abstract-rhetoric nut. Sadly, he didn't take the opportunity to deconstruct himself in such an awesomely titled collection while he had the chance.

Sometimes you're gonna fall down.

No tears. Just get back up and keep walking.

You've got it. Ninja instincts.
